How it works
You add the anime you've watched, are watching and plan to watch. Anihood counts those anime per area, never per person, and draws the result as circles on a map. Open a circle and you see the fans in it, ordered by how much of your anime you share.
Your anime match is a single number that measures anime overlap and nothing else. It weighs your top three favorites most, then what you're both watching, what you've both completed, the genres you share and your favorite character. Distance can decide the order between two equal matches, but it never changes the number.
Private by design
The map shows areas, not people. Your location is reduced to a ~5 km area cell before anything is stored publicly, and the only coordinate Anihood ever publishes is the centre of that cell. Distances are estimates between cell centres. Read the full details in our privacy policy.
Not a dating app
Anihood is for anime friendship and community. Age, gender and appearance are never used to rank or match anyone. Gender is optional and only visible if you choose to share it. Anihood is open to people aged 13 and up, and direct messages only open between accepted friends. See Safety.
Anime data
Titles, artwork and episode counts come from AniList. Anihood keeps a small cached copy so lists load quickly; AniList remains the source of truth.
